I have Asperger's. I don't get humour much. Never been an essential in my life.

Fiction does not claim to be present cold, hard, dense data. However, you made a factual claim, and if you write AP style or CMS style (which is the only form of magazine or newspaper article that works), then your essential data comes at the top.

You can, of course, write creative non-fiction which is factual information written in a fictional format. I don't read it. When I read articles, like many other people, I read for data.
