I have always puzzled about that. For instance, a evaluation (using EEG and IQ testing) by a doctor said that I have very well developed brain structures in the brain and that I learnt very young.

Yet, neither of my parents spoke to me (I never had a conversation with any of them. They never taught me anything. In my late 50s, a counsellor told me that I had grown up like a wolf child). I wasn't taught manners, how to eat, brush my teeth, bath, say hello, please, or thank you. I was not allowed to listen to conversation, and even, today, at 72, I have large gaps in my knowledge base.

How, then, is it possible for me to have such a well structured brain. My IQ has been measured between 165 and off-the-graph depending on the type of test, and whether I had coffee or not (I can't think if I've had coffee). Both left and right brain are in equal use.

I never listened in class, and to this day, I do not know how I passed for 12 years without failing. The only thing I did was read. From the age of 7, I read between 2 and four books a day, depending whether it was school or vacation. After school, it was about 1 book a day. I still read all the time.

How is it possible for my brain to develop when I had no stimulation as a small child, and the only input was after I learnt to read at 7 years old?

I have never understood that.
