I had no choice but to deal with her as I didn't know who the landlord was.

Since then, she has written to my daughter, claiming that the landlord told her to fetch all her things, but that she is not to set foot in the cottage (I saw the email - he didn't), that she had lost 3000 euros through this (no, she didn't), and that she was going to the police to charge the landlord for theft of her goods. She has some real issues.

She then said that she had bent over backwards to get us this place - not even remotely true as she ws desperate to find someone to take over in a week. One other person was interested, but they were only interested in July.

I have no idea what is going on inside her. We're okay, anyway. The cottage probably needs a lot of work, but since we are going to be staying here for a while, we'll do what we can.
