It's not that it cannot be done. It is that America is too shortsighted to do it. About a decade ago, China completed a rail system ftom China tto Spain. Several sleeper trains have just bern completed in Europe. There is a train system right accross Canada, and Canada is far less populated than America. I can assure you that if America could put a man on the moon in 1969 and if the British Empire could build a rail system from Cape to Cairo in the 19th Century, it is technologically possuble to fo it.

You are hearing what you want to hear. You are concerned about short term things. I am looking at the longer term - 10, 20, 50 years in the future, and there is no such thinking going on. There is no preparation for the climate disasters already taking place.

In fact, it's laughable that anyone thinks that electric cars and eradicating the beef industry is going to prevent any further damage.
