I find what you're saying really interesting, because there's a lot in liberalism that I don't like. I'm a progressive - strictly the economic idea that the government needs to provide certain services (probably because I was educated and grew up in countries that did). But to me, it has nothing to do with various beliefs.

I'm still not getting how you define liberalism, though.
