I dropped out when I was 45 years old (I am now 71). I didn't know I had Aspergers. When I worked, it distressed me to such a degree that within 3 months, there would be a foot of junk in the kitchen. I couldn't function.

Nothing wrong with my brains, though.

My daughter has the same problem. She is 37, and we are together now, figuring out how we are going to make a living. She has to find something where she is not involved with other people.

Tell your son, he made the right decision in leaving. :)
