I don't think you get what I'm saying.

There were pirates and privateers who attacks pirates with state sanction. The individuals who were captains of these ships are irrelevant. Who cares?

Who cares who wrote the Domesday book. It is interesting to read, but do we really need to know the details of the person who wrote it.

I do not have one bit of interest in male of female achievements. To me, it's nothing to do with individuals. The only time an individual is important is if events would not have happened if it wasn't for that individual. Examples are Robespierre, Napoleon, Hitler, etc.

So what if there were women pirates in China. Who cares what gender the pirates were. What is more important is that they were criminals. Who cares if there were male or female mathematicians. The importance is not in the gender, but in the science.

I truly don't get this obsession to elevate women. I don't get whether male or females did something.
