I don't know what it is about the kind of art you describe, but the moment I come I to contact with it, I dismiss it. I easily recognise conspiracy theories and nonsense in the moment I hear it. Not difficult, but then I have no vested interests, read widely, and have lived in many cultures and countries

I have two questions.

Why would anyone want to spend their time examining a painting or some other form of art in order to derive meaning? And doesn't the fact that one has to spend time on it to find meaning drive people away to easier sources?
