I don't go to movies these days, so, no, Ken, I did not see the Quiet Girl. I did, however, look up the synopsis on Wiki.

Absolutely no. I would not want to see it. I genuinely do not understand why anyone would want to watch more tragedy, when our entire lives are surrounded by tragedy. These stories are happening around us all the time. Terrible things are happening to people. Why on earth would I want to go and see a movie to see a fictional story of something tragic?

There are millions of story of the evil and the ignorance of human kind all around us. They are written about in numerous publications . I am exposed to them all the time.

Ken, are you not moved intensely by the misery and the hurt of all of humanity around you? Do you not see the terrible things that happen to people. And if you do< why would you want to see more of that in a movie?

That is what I don't understand.

When I go to a movie, I'm not interested in exposing myself more of the hell that all of us through. I want to escape reality. I want something that ends on a happily ever after note, and that has a good enough story so that I don't know what happens in the end.

I'm also curious about what other movies you liked.

Thanks.
