I don't believe that for one minute. I grew up in a house where we were spanked, and it made is good. In fact, the generation that grew up without being spanked were the American boomers whose parents were told by Dr. Spock never to do that, and guess what happened.

We have an ignorant, money grubbing, brain damaged generations of boomers in the States (well, some of them, anyway).
