I did not relate to my generation 50 years ago, and I still don't. We were always out of step. They were interested in partying, in taking drugs, in trying out all sorts of things. I didn't like any of it. I'm afraid I am very old fashioned. I grew up with Victorian principles, probably because I read all the 19th century novels in my formative years, and that's where I got my morality from.
