I couldn't give a shit about business profits. I know exactly how it works. I grew up in that section of society where everybody's parents had a business, and to date, I have never dated anyone who wasn't a CEO.

Precisely because the conglomerates take our the profits (far more than they put in), there is no benefit to the country. The 'benefits' of paying people $100 per month are pretty useless.

That's because most African countries import technology like smart phones and computers. They cost twice as much in Africa as they do in the first world. Why? Because the companies who sell them take advantage of African ignorance.

Yes, of course, it is the responsibility of government to stop that, but Africans evolved in societies where the headman made the decisions for the tribe, and where he looked after the best interests of the tribe. They have a different way of looking at things.

It really depends on whether one wants to do the ethical thing and assist humanity or whether one wants to make a profit.

If I were in president of the world, I would make year end profit illegal, stop companies from expanding beyond their local start up point, and a lot of other things.

Essentially, an economy is any system of production and distribution. The current laissez faire system where business is responsible for all production and distribution is highly destructive. The mixed economy system worked much better.

Sorry abut the lecture, and the disagreement.
