I couldn't get into it. I think the military secret detracted from the volcanic eruption. It waa also written in Patterson style, very different to Crichton, and it simply doesn't work.

The story is jerky, overdone, and jumps from one thing to another, therefore continually interrpting the flow of the story.

I'm half way through. I cannot bring myself to read further. I am bored to tears.
