I come from a family of extreme outliers - born on the wrong side of every social divide. Yet, this has not stopped me from pursuing interests. Same with the rest of my family.

So I simply cannot relate to that essay. I couldn't care less about whether I was part of a group. I don't want to be part of a group. Maybe that's why.
