I can definitely see why women would accuse you of mansplaining.

There is a vast difference between conversation on a chat show and in real life. In real life, nobody should talk for more than one minute - otherwise it becomes a lecture. The entire point of a conversation is that both people speak - in very short and frequent sound bites.

Many men love the sound of their own voices. Or they think that if they talk a lot, the woman will be impressed. I've never understood it. They seem to completely miss the point that most people only listen in short bursts, and therefore one adjusts one's conversation to fit those short bursts.

Of course, sometimes, women also go on and on and on.

The very fact that you assume that the 'listener will be hungry for more' tells me that you appear to be oblivious of the concept that a conversatin is not where one person is talking or dominating the converssation and the other is doing most of the listening.

This is why you are accused of mansplaining. Both should hold the floor equally.

I do not regard movies as a source of historic accuracy and even if it was, it would be completely lost on me. It never occurred to me that the movie accurately reproduced the original ship, but even if I was, I wasn't aware of anything particularly impressive in the ship.

It's when you go the Grand Kremlin Palace or the various cathedrals in Europe or other palaces that you begin to see what architecture of extreme wealth looks like

To me, the entire point of ficiton is to leave me happy and to escape this miserable painful world of ours. I don't like danglers because there is no gurantee that I will get to read the next chatper, and if I can't read it immediately, I will have forgotten it by the time I find it.
