I became a progressive in 1966. This has nothing to do with the American movement. There is a very specific economic policy attached to progressivism. It's essentially a mixed economy where government uses taxes to provide services and welfare for the people. It owns various industries that are common to all.
You're wrong that progressivism is the new religion in America. If that had been so, Bernie Sanders would have been president. He's not.
Please stop confusing me with an American. I lived there for 11 years. I can certainly share my experiences and my perceptions, but I am NOT a typical American.
