I am so sick and tired with this obsession to become leaders and of self-improvement.
Leaders are born - not made. And leadership is about solving the problems well enough for others to recognize you and want to follow you. Some people are born strong enough to stand regardless of the odds, and they're born intelligent enough to figure out the solutions, and people recognize that and follow them.
The obsession with self-improvement is particularly American. It happens when the struggle to survive is so intense that people are focused on doing whatever it takes to survive.
People in the UK and in Europe are focused on enjoying life and living. They certainly do the necessary things to maintain society. Actually, the UK is now going the same way as the US because it followed the same economic platform. Sad.
