The topic is about three nations/areaa/empires, one of which is functioning reasonably well, one of which is losing power and influence, and one of which is gaining power and influence.

You are not discussing that, and until you actually stick to the topic, I will not respond to anything you say for the simple reason it is not what my article is about.
