I am not a team player, and I will never be a team player.

Business leadership? I have never seen business owners as leaders. I worked for companies until I was 45. In virtually all my jobs I out-produced everybody else (including directors), etc.

Here's what got to me - every single time.

I have a way of investing intense energy in something, and I might reach goals within two weeks. I would then recuperate for the following two weeks because I was exhausted.

Management was never happy that I had reached and surpassed targets. They were intent on my working the other two weeks as well. When they put up targets to ridiculous levels, I just up and left. People have different working styles.

I do NOT work with other people. They interfere with my thoughts processes (probably because I have a processing disorder and have Asperger's).

Nor do I have any interest in discussing progress or anything else. I'm there simply to get the money paid for to accomplish a certain task. I have no interest in careers, being promoted, earning bonuses, whatever.

You tell me to do something. If I can do it, I'll tell you. If I can't, I'll also tell you. But force me to work with others? Never.

I have little time for business 'leadership.' They're intent on profits and making everybody play happily.

On the other hand, when it comes to important matters, I will work with any leader and cooperate with anyone else - things like climate change, emergency care, life saving production, etc.
