I am most definitely not a feminist, despite being a woman with an exceptionally strong character.

As a result of wearing a mask on my face all the time, I no longer use lipstick. However, for most of my life, I have used make up. I have also dressed beautifully, and as they used to say when I was on the ballroom dancing floor (or even in any of my jobs), "you're the best-dressed.'

I couldn't give a damn about fashion. I bought at charity shops and used. I could altar and change things to suit my own sense of style. I've probably being at a hairdresser five times in my life, have never been to a beauty parlour, and at 70 years, my hair is natural (no hair dye), and i don't think I've used a moisturiser for more decades than I can count.

I still adore beauty, and if the masks go away, I will be write back to looking as good as I can. I have three design qualifcations, and beauty will always draw me.

The idea that the only reason a woman would use cosmetics is because she wants to draw a man is somewhat limited. I dress strictly for myself, and I wore make up strictly for myself.
