…a bad thing. (Sometimes people even spell them differently, US skepticism=good, UK scepticism=bad.) The phrase “climate skeptic” has come to mean somebody who denies settled climate science, not a scientist who questions theories about the climate, e.g., the erroneous theory that water vapor causes global warming instead of carbon dioxide.
