How would you define a negative experience?

I've had more negative experiences than most people would be able to endure. I even recall a man telling me that he wasn't going to promote me because I'm very beautiful and I would get married.

This, after I asked him why I was training all the guys he promoted.

I also recall moaning to a casino manager that the guys should be carrying the money bags because they were too heavy for a woman. He said to me, "You get paid the same - you do the same work."

I don't regard those as negative experiences. I do, on the other hand, regard the many women of bullied me, sabotaged me, traumatized me, lied about me and got me beaten up by men as negative experiences.

Which of these would you regard as negative experiences, and which would you say are patriarchal?
