How to Organise Peaceful Resistance
Taking down Musk might be the first step in a long journey.
Before I start, I want to clarify that this article is not in support of Donald Trump, but rather in support of a principle — the transfer of power and the adherence to the wishes of the majority. It is about respecting the power of peaceful change and finding ways of eliminating the opposition — without violence.
I also want to point out that Donald Trump won the popular vote, the electoral vote, the house, and the senate. That is an overwhelming win. The fact that some people chose not to vote doesn’t mean that they would have preferred another leader. It means that they didn’t care who won, or that they didn’t approve of either candidate.
I would also like to point out that recent polls put support of the Democratic Party at the lowest it has been in 35 years — from 1990. In addition to that, I saw several comments from liberals on X when the Democrats voted against the recent bill prevents trans athletes from entering women’s sports. They all said the same thing, “I will never vote for another Democrat.” They saw it as a betrayal.
