Holy shit. I had to think about this for three days before I came back to comment. I also gave it to my daughter to read.

So I have never been able to visualize things. Meditations always irritated the hell out of me. They did absolutely nothing but bore me.

Yet, it would be ridiculous to say that I have no imagination. A doctor, with whom I did a 5 hour test, told me I had the highest creativity score he had seen in his 30 year practice.

It explains why I couldn't remember color in my mind, but could pick it out perfectly when I saw it in front of me. It explains why I can't remember faces until I've seen them on a daily basis for a while.

I write very imaginative stories because I hear them. They just pour into my head. I have never ever had writers' block. I just sit down at my laptop, write the first sentence, and the story unfolds - fast.

My daughter, on the other hand, sees everything visually. Tremendous artist.
