Green card holders cannot reside in other countries. If you have a green card, it means you are a permanent resident - not a citizen. As a green card holder, you cannot retain your green card if you are outside the USA for longer than 2 years, and even then, you need permission, and you pay a fine. On top of that, you are most certainly not permitted to work.
