Governance is not the place for people who let their feelings and emotions lead them. If that is the case, when one lapses into hatred, then one should let those emotions guide one as well.

It is prefectly rational to let ethics guide one. Ethics are rules based on the greateset survival for the greatest number over the longest period of time.

These ideas might be strange to you, but I have been on the left on my entire lfe, and I am absolutly and utterly not led by empathy. I am led by ethics.
