Generalizations are there for a reason. They cover a broad spectrum, and intelligent people understand that there are exceptions. Let me demonstrate a generalization to you.

Germans speak German." That is a generalizatiin. However, like many 2nd generation German Jews, I grew up in another country and do not speak German. The generalization holds true.

The sexual attitudes and beliefs of American men and women are antediluvian because their culture is strongly biblical. Yes, it is a generalisation. Just the same way that tbe generalization thT German people speak German is a generalisation.

Here's what I don't get. Why don't you (and many others) understand it is perfectly acceptable to use generalisations, and that educated, intelligent people understand it is a generalisation, and that there are exceptions.
