Free speech was never about allowing people to say what they like or about persuading other people to to believe something.

Free specch came about as a result of the fact that people who spoke agains the king or the church were thrown into jail and/or excuted. Free speech means one is allowed to speak against the state or the church.

Thank you for respecting my right to write for the people who have reached the same conclusion as I have. I have no desire to be read by those who disagree with me. Apart from needing to earn in order to survive, as someone with Asperger's syndrome, I live a lonely existence, and finding people on the web who share my values gives me a sense of belonging.

The only time it is acceptable to change someone's mind about something is if it is a life or death situation, and even then, it may not be the right thing to do. Sometimes, the extent of mental pain is so great that it is physical pain. I know that because i have lived with that physical pain all my life. And there are times I can see no reason whatsoever for living.

I would be extremely upset if someone tried to talk me about of it. Most people who think they know better have never worn the shoes of someone else.
