First of all, let me give you some history, and explain to you why I can't stand woke.
My fingerprints were put on police file when I went to help Desmond Tutu (do you recognize the name - you should) in 1967, White people weren't supposed to help black people.
My late mother was a founder member of the Black Sash in the 50s, Link below. That was anti-apartheid right from the start.
I worked with Helen Suzman's party (Progressive) from 1970 through to the time Apartheid fell. I worked every single election. I became a progressive in 1966.
I fought apartheid until the last minute, and I voted ANC for the first free elections in South Africa. I have had African boyfriends, and I recall hugging Taliep Peterson in a plane and the entire plane going quite because a white girl was hugging a black man in full public view. Link below as to who he is.
So, puh-lease. Your response is exactly why I dont' like Woke. It jumps to conclusions. It makes false claims without having all the information. I am not American, but I did live there for 11 years. I am a dual German/South African citizen, settled in Ireland.
I have had a gutful of Woke people responding emotionally, without evidence, and it has nothing to do with racism. I don't like groupthink. I prefer rational, educated, ethical people.
I was probably fighting racism before you were born. I also became an environmentalist before you were born, and have been writing against classism for about 15 years.,
I suggest you don't jump to conclusion.
