Ethics: Hunter Biden, Clinton, and the GOP

I was living in London when Bill Clinton lied to the American people about not sleeping with Monica Lewinsky. It shocked the hell out of me. I’m not a fan of lying, and lying politicians, to my mind, are the scum of the earth. That a president of America should lie to the people left no doubt in my mind. The scumbag should not be president.

So I asked an American liberal why it was acceptable for Clinton to lie. He explained to me that if he didn’t lie, then he would lose the presidency if he admitted to sleeping with Lewinsky. My jaw hit the ground. I don’t believe it has ever recovered.

When I asked some leftists on social media yesterday why they were going on and on about Hunter Biden, and why they insisted he wasn’t guilty, I got some serious flack. It was explained to me repeatedly that he wasn’t guilty, and if he was guilty, then it would cost them the 2024 election, and if I didn’t know that I was stupid or a troll or something else. Oh, yes, and that liberals had learnt when Bill Clinton lost the subsequent election that liberals weren’t allowed to be guilty of anything.

It seems some people can’t see the wood for the trees.
