Carol, I write for the 1% who do understand what I say, and I have never pretended anything else. I also do not write to convince anyone of anything or influence anyone about anything. I write for two reasons. One is money. And the second is to get the thoughts out of my head.

I have no interest in prompting discussion. I respond to my readers as a matter of courtesy.
Like many others, you seem to think that if I criticize the left, it must mean that I'm on the right, and I support Trump. Why is that? Are so many of you two-dimensional. Are there not other possibilities?

Let me present some other possibilities to you.

1. The far left is pushing the world right. Right now, Europe has moved to the far right - all t he countries losing their left, so badly that the Belgium minister has resigned and the French one has called a general election. The left needs criticism, and if it can't take it, it is not fit for government.

2. I say quite clearly that I have no political home, but that seems to be ignored, and many of you assume that if I call out the left, then I must be right. Again, it is possible to criticize the left and not be right.

3. There is no difference in the platforms where it matters, and that's what you and others don't see. As long as the economic system is about private enterprise - laissez faire capitalism - there are no solutions. And as the DNC keep electing people who will retain that system, the left is exactly the same as the right.

4. How do you arrive at the conclusion that I want America to move in their military? I'm not an American - I don't like the American military. I think they have caused s**t all over the planet. The last thing I would want is American troops moving into Africa. They wouldn't solve anything, anyway. The problem is ideology, and you don't kill ideology with a war.

5. I have a moral and ethical right to question movements that are retrogressive. Whether you can see it or not, the far left in America is retrogressive.

6. I don't think I'm smart. Other people - doctors , organizations, etc. who have tested me, have said I am smart. Deal with it. Jealousy gets you nowhere.

Also, did you actually bother to read this, because it certainly, from your comments, does not sound like it. Or did someone mention it, and based on what they say, come to comment?
