But here's the thing. I dont' have a jail record. I don't care if my information is in the hands of authorities. I've never done anything that is illegal or that I'm embarrassed or humiliated about. Please believe me everytime I setttle in a new country, police want records and other things to make sure you're not a criminal.

However, let's say that I did something horribly wrong. I wouldn't hide it. I would take what punishment I was supposed to get.

And again, if people insist on doing wrong things, then they must live with the consequences.

I also don't see why Americans are gettting so upset about privacy. In the rest of the world, it's not the first thing we think about.

Also, I'm curious - which law enshrines the right to privacy?
