Brilliant piece. I am relocating to Germany in three weeks. The sum total of all my possessions comprises 4 suitcases 2 medium and two large. The sum total of the weight is under 80 kilos. That includes my plate, my knife, my fork, my two blankets, clothes, laptop, etc.

I paid off all my accounts some 15 years ago. Since then I have lived on a cash basis.

The irony of all this is that my quality of life is far better than that of many. True minimalism removes stress.
