Bias, Emotions, Observations, and Influence
I am making a statement about my political and philosophical views.
Most people who write articles or blogs, write from a certain point of view. I am no different. My views, however, do not fit the common narrative, or should I say that my views do not fit any of the common narratives.
I am not here to be part of this side or that side. I am not here to uphold the views of those whose hands need to be held so that they can get out of bed in the morning. I am not here to fight ideological wars. I am not here to add weight to the arguments of others. I am an observer, and I gather data from many different sources, sort through it, and then based on where that data leads me, I draw conclusions.
It’s also true that my views seem to change. While once I considered myself progressive, I walked away from that, not because my views had changed, but because what was considered progressive was no longer part of the historical meaning of progressivism.
It’s true that until January 2022, I wrote continually about climate change, and then I stopped. I did not stop because I suddenly thought that climate change was now nonsense. I stopped because I realized that we had reached a point where it was no longer possible to stop climate change or lessen its impact…
