Because it's going to be the people who produce decent copy faster that are going to be earning the living. It's extremely difficult to tell the difference, if not impossible, to tell the difference between writing done by a human and writing done by AI.

The AI writes better English than a newbie writer/wannabe writer, but can also get its facts wrong.

However, when AI is fed commercial content by a business, there is absolutely no doubt that it's a no contest situation. AI can do the job better, faster, and cheaper than a content writer can.

When it comes to fiction, again, AI is as good as any fiction novelist.

When it comes to analysis and original opinion that is not in the common domain, human beings win out. AI cannot think, and it cannot produce what has not been previously thought of by human beings.

That, however, is a very rare skill, even for human beings.
