Became involved in progressive politics at the age of 14 in 1965.

Became an environmentalist in 1970 after reading Rachel Carson' s book Silent Spring.

Have written about these issues every day of my life for the past 15 years. Before that, I still wrote about them, but not every day.

Have been actively involved in elections, canvassing, explainng things to voters.

Have marched over and over again, until I realized it was useless.

My eco-footprint is 10% of the average American.

Don't own a credit card, don't own a car or a TV, use as little as possible. My stuff can fit into 5 suitcases. I'm anti-consumer. I've lived this way for a lletime.

My point.

Some of us do do these things. It will never make any difference because there aren't enough of us.

We have to stop the driving forces that create our current world

1. Advertising

2. Profit.
