At this rate, we're going to have a long conversation! You reminded me that I always used yo love reading mythology -Greek. Norse, Roman, Indian, Egyptian, etc.
Another favourite was history - Hittites, Babylobians, Egyptians, Romans, Greeks, Vikings, middle ages, reformations, explorations, inquisitions, revolutions, and wars.
I haven't watched a lot of TV in my life. As with my daughter and sister, it has no interest to me. I used to love movies, but now I find them too loud and too violent.
I tend to read abstracts, news sources, non-fiction magazines, and occasional books for facts. That would consume my morning reading, and sometimes I read through the night.
You say you read to learn. I don't think I have done anything purposely to learn (except go on endless courses). For me, it's more about satisfying an endless curosity.
Why are you interested in conversations between people? Trying to understand what makes them tick?
