What you don't mention is the terrible destruction that is happening in Africa as a result of lithium mining, i.e. the chemicals they use to remove the lithium from the other minerals.

BEVs are not the only alternative to modern transport. Public transport is the only real option. As I am currently in Europe, have lived many times in the UK, spent 11 years in the US, and about 40 years in Africa, I think I understand transport.
