As I actually immigrated to the USA, I can tell you that I know the immigration laws, and that is simply not true.

I needed a few thousand dollars to get into the States, plus either a sponor or a job.

What you and others appear to be saying is that anyone who wants to come and live in the States should be able to. As I was born and bred in the 3rd world, and as I know exactly how many people would take advantage of that, I think you need to rethink that.

You would have tens of millions of people arrivign, and it would break your country, because they would have no means of supporting themselves, and they would have no money. They would arrive without skills, without money, etc. It would, eventually, lead to enromous crime.

What you're talking about, as well, is people who enter the country without a stated purpose of remaining there for the rest of their lives.

No other country int he world says that someone can enter, just because they are family . I know that if one wants to bring in one's parents, it takes 13 years (or it used to when I immigrated. I don't have a problem with that. It doesn't meant that that was cause for breaking the law. It just means to write off the USA and find another country..

Employment based means they had visas, and then applied for immigration. That is far more difficult than immigration from another country. By that I mean when applies when one is outside the country. Again, same thing in other first world countries.

The time periods have nothing to do with incompentence. It has to do with a political determination/policy.
