As for the empathy, we are living on earth. Human beings are capable of many different emotions - anger, resentment, jealousy, hatred, fear, anxiety, adoration, love, etc. To imply that all human beings must now constantly live in one emotional state is absurd.

Emotions are a secondary signal as to how to respond to a particular situation. As I come from Africa, I'll paint a picture.

If I see lions in the distance, my fear of them makes me run the other way. I can have as much 'empathy' for those lions as I like. Not to turn the other way will get me eaten.

You have no idea how many tourists get eaten because they wanted to pet the lions or take a photo or something.

Fear is a healthy emotion that protects us.
