:) Apolitical can mean to be uninterested in politics but it can also mean to have an unbiased position with regard to politics - non-partisan. And that is where I am.

I'm not interested in political parties as they tend to have ideologies, and I'm not interested in ideology. I'm interested in administration, and from where I stand, I see bs in both Dems and the GOP that I don't agree with.

There is no evidence that Trump will do away with social security. That said, as a result of climate change, it's probable that within the next 10 to 15 years, the economies of many countries will collapse as a result of mounting climate disasters - floods, fires, hurricanes, etc. There might not be any money over for social security. I'm certainly expecting that to happen at some point.

A South African friend told me about a month ago that she lost her social security a few years ago. She had worked for the government for 35 years, and the money ran out. So everybody lost.

I'm curious as to what age you are, because you say something about my living until your age. I'm 72 now, so how many more years must I go before I get to your age? I do receive social security from the USA as I lived in the States for 11 years. I left 10 years ago, and have since lived in 5 countries on two continents (Africa, Europe, and an island). I'm now on my 6th country - Ireland.

At one point, on Medium, I was continually in the top 1000 writers on Medium and I was the top writer in about 12 different areas, including politics, economics, climate change, etc. It's not something that interests me. You can read my 'about' section.

My point was that people from both sides of the political spectrum in America get extremely angry when you point out what they don't want to know. For instance, tell someone on the the left that Israel is not guilty of genocide or that nobody in Gaza is starving, and you will get called all sorts of names. :)

Generally people who do that identify with their ideology to the extent that they have no other identity. So if you point out factual information to them, they will attack you because you are (in their eyes) attacking their entire being.
