They are beginning, now, not to trust America. Remember when Biden proudly said: “America’s back”? Nobody trusted Trump. But everybody hoped Biden would be a return to basic American competence. Nobody much expected Biden to ask them to trust the Taliban. Merkel, Macron, and even Boris Johnson…
