And you’re still jumping to conclusions.
I was born and educated in South Africa. I was also extremely abused, and if you’re interested, you can read about that here.

According to two counsellors I saw in San Diego (that’s California), people with my level of disability and abuse do not live beyond 25 years. Both said that what I had accomplished was miraculous.
For the record, I lived in the States for 11 years, the result of winning the Green Card Lottery. In London, I was living on welfare. I couldn’t find a job. I am autistic (Asperger’s, and I have an auditory processing disorder).
And, no, I did not have a good education. I got a college degree at the age of 58. That said, I read widely, and my IQ was measured at 165 at the age of 9 or 10, and off-the-graph at 45. I also went on many courses in my desperation to be able to find work that didn’t stress me.
China is not a democracy, and it supplies a far superior education than America and many democracies do. So do a lot of Asian countries.
Yes, America is in many ways a third world country. I know that because I’ve lived in several countries in Africa.
Germans aren’t that well educated. Only 10% go to university. The rest do skills training. That is why they have virtually no IT innovation in the country.
I fully understand the situation in America – as I said, I lived there for 11 years. However, the kind of democracy you envisualize will not work because most people are fundamentally incapable of foresight. I also know about the poverty levels in the USA. I write about the USA extensively if you read my articles on Medium. I also write about the UK.
My ‘good education’ did not allow me to ‘trot’ the globe. I moved from country to country, desperate to find work. I was published early because I was born with the talent to write. All I had was high school. Along the way, though, I taught myself many things, and put myself through many different courses. None of it helped. It doesn’t when one is autistic.
This is my portfolio showing that I was a young girl when I first got published.

And the way I got from country to country was to negotiate with employers, get cheap flights, live in terrible situations, etc. You have no idea of the hell I have lived through.
So I’m not sure what conclusions you are going to jump to from what I say here, but learn: Ask rather than assume.
