And you would be correct in what you say. There isn't anything positive in what I say. The question, however, didn't mention if I saw anything positive - it asked about things that shocked me.

Yes, of course, many would be taking offence, but the hundreds of comments (including the first one I posted here) indicated that many also agreed.

There are refugees and Africans living everywhere in the world, and per capita, the UK has more than America. Also, when people are under attack from their own country, they go to the country that is geographically closer to them - Greece, Australia, Western Europe, the UK, etc.

Most of your refugees, illegal immigrants, etc. come from South America - that's because it's the closest country, not because America is better than other countries. South Africa has large numbers of Africans from other African countries influxiing illegally. They don't cross the ocean to go to America.

How many Ukrainains have just made their way to America?

More than six million people have fled Ukraine as a result of the war. How many have gone to America?

5.5 million have gone to Poland, simply because it is nearest. I know that Ireland has accepted 40,000. And all countries in eastern and western Europe have accepted them. They haven't gone to America. One very simple reason - it's not close by.

You say that 60% of you try to include people in their lives. It's quite normal to include people in one's life. Why woudl that shock a European?

People from other countries are shocked because they expect something better.

Perhaps my experience with American police (Texas and California) were limited but bear in mind that 20% of American police are ex military, and the military sells its excess weapons to the police force. That is very, very different to other countries.
