Ancestry is different to parental. If your parents have not revoked their citizenship from their native country, they can generally get their children registered before they are 18 or 21. Other countries will allow you to take on the citizenship of your grandparents, if your grandparents never revoked their citizenship.

Ancestry means that your parents, grandparents, or great grandparents reovked their citizenry, and you were not born with the right to obtain citizenship from their country.

Ghana provides ancestral acceptance even if your ancestors left 200 years ago. Israel provides ancestral return every if your ancestors never lived there for 2000 years. Austria and Germany provide return to those who were forced to give up their nationality because they were Jews.

Can you tell me a bit more about the Brazilian ancestral program? And give me a link to it?

Thanks.
