Americans, per capita, do three times the amount of climate damage than China. Sure China, collectively, spews more damage,, but she has 1.3 billion people while America only has 320 million.

Your arguments are extremely limited and show a limited understanding.

Yes, of course, public transport will only be built according to public demand. Exactly. And the public is not interested in giving up anything to sae the world from climate change. In any event, it's now too late.

Europe is NOT a teeny tiny country. There is a rail going from Spain to China. The trans-Siberian railway is also very long. I can get on a Ferry in Ireland, land in the UK, then take an undersea train to France. The point is that the entire continents is connected.

".I also understand the difference between reality and fantasy. "Nobody is going to ban personal ownership of cars, full stop."

Not in America, anyway. And that's exactly my point. The baby boomers did nothing. They didn't do what had to be done. It's only fantasy because Americans are driven by profit.

"Can't "make" each country and city do ANYTHING, and no community in the developed world can provide for itself locally."

Really? South Africa survived sanctions for 14 years. Countries used to survive on their own resources all the time before the global economy took off in the latter half of the 20th century. Of course, every country can provide for itself. The capitalists just don't want that, though, because they won't make as much money.

What is interesting is that all the countries that are listed for surviving climate change are islands where they can provide for themselves.

As far as I know, I have freedom of speech. I can write and say what I like. Whether you agree with me or not, many people think the same way I do. I most definitely don't live in fantasy land.

I'm not trying to achieve any goals except to get rid of the thoughts in my head and earn money. I'm not so full of myself that I think anything I say will make a difference.
