When referring to Canada, America, and South America, the correct usuage for the continent is 'The Americas.'

Perhaps you had better update your understanding of geography? it's not other people who are ignorant in this case. No offence meant, but it's fairly common parlance to use 'the Americans' when rerferring to the landmass that is South America and North America.

North America includes Canada.
