All psychological typecasting is flawed.
That is, for the following reasons.
1. The people who design the tests always leave loopholes. They try to overcome that by asking the same question in 20 diffeent ways so people eventually tell the truth. It doesn't work for people like me because I'm too intelligent not to see them.
2. Many people either don't understand themselves or they outright lie. So the test is only as good as one's own view of oneself is accurate.
3. The people who wrote the test are limited by language. For instance, when I did American tests, they kept asking me if I would go along with the group. In all cases I said no, The doctor then told me I was a rebel, but she couldn't understand the results because rebels weren't sensitive people, and I was very sensitive. So she made me do the test again, and I got the same results.
What the doctor didn't realize (stupid bitch) was that 'group' in South Africa meant criminal activity. In America (I was new to America) meant social groups.
With regard to INTJs, I have been given that test many times - over a 40 year period. I have always tested INTJ. The result is accurate for me. Other typology tests have come up with the same results.
If one discredits the Myers Briggs, one has to discredit all the other typology tests for the same reason. Ironically, precisely because INTJs have the traits they do, it's probably the most accurate assessment.
