Ah, well, after I surrendered my green card, I can now only stay in the States for 3 months. I was going in April 2020 for three months, and then all the borders shut.

I went to South Africa to be with my sister, and was waiting for the pandemic to die out. But it didn't. So the only country I could get into in those days was Germany, so I went there, and then once I had been there, I could move around again.

To be fair, though, I was going to make my home here (it was between Spain and Portugal), but now that my daughter is with me, she needs an English speaking country.
