Contentious topic, when women take men for every penny they can, and men screw women for everything they can get.

There’’s a post on Facebook doing the rounds — it’s in a South African magazine. It purports that women only marry men for money, and when the money runs out, they divorce the men, and then take men for all the remaining money they can. The number of twisted remarks from men claiming that to be true was so astounding to me that I posted that I divorced my husband, never asked for a penny, and brought up my kid on my own. This is perfectly true.

It’s what followed that surprised me. I was accused of being a bitter old bitch, someone who had continued to sue her ex-husband for money, of being so ugly that no one would ever date me, and more vile garbage.

Now make no mistake, after 30 years of writing on the web, I am no stranger to the vile stuff that mad, angry, twisted people say to me. It’s inevitable that something I write will trigger some, because there are those whose interpretation of events tend to the dark side. There really is nothing that I can do about that. So, sometimes I give as good as I get, and sometimes I block.
